Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Binaryinflux is a software development company based in the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at our contact page.

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to provide it to us. This occurs through:

  • Contact and quote form submissions — name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), and the content of your message.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — email address only.
  • Technical data — when you visit our website, we may collect standard server log information (IP address, browser type, referring URL) for security and performance monitoring purposes.

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health information, financial data, etc.).

3. How we use your data

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiry or request for a quote
  • Send you information you have requested (e.g., newsletter)
  • Manage our business relationship if you become a client
  • Improve our website and services

We never sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to enquiries you have initiated), consent (newsletter subscriptions, which you can withdraw at any time), and contract performance (if you engage us as a client).

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — strictly necessary for the website to function correctly (e.g., reCAPTCHA for form protection). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or similar behavioural tracking tools.

6. Data sharing

We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our website and services (e.g., email delivery providers, hosting providers). These processors are contractually bound to handle your data in compliance with GDPR and may not use it for their own purposes.

7. Data retention

We retain enquiry data (contact form submissions, quote requests) for a maximum of 12 months from the date of submission, unless an ongoing business relationship requires longer retention. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion at any time.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Restriction — request that we restrict processing in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at our contact page. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Significant changes will be communicated via email to subscribers where appropriate.
